Position Overview
As a First Officer at flydubai, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our aircraft. You will work closely with the Captain and the rest of the flight crew to ensure a seamless flying experience for our passengers. This position is based on the South Africa Assessment Centre, and you will be part of a dynamic team that upholds the highest standards of aviation professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Flight Operations: Execute flight duties in compliance with flydubai’s operational policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols, maintain situational awareness, and assist the Captain in decision-making for safe flight operations.
- Navigation: Assist in flight navigation tasks, including analyzing weather conditions and charting appropriate flight paths.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with the flight crew, air traffic control, and ground personnel to ensure a smooth operation.
- Emergency Response: Respond professionally and swiftly to any in-flight emergencies or unexpected situations.
- Aircraft Maintenance: Provide accurate reports on any aircraft technical issues for proper maintenance action.
- Passenger Service: Collaborate with the cabin crew to deliver a positive passenger experience, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Documentation: Complete all necessary flight documentation accurately and promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) or Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings.
- Minimum flying experience of [X] hours, with [Y] hours on [Z] type of aircraft.
- Proficiency in English language (ICAO Level [X]) for effective communication.
- Ability to adapt to varying schedules and work in different time zones.
- Excellent teamwork, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
